A fatal motorcycle crash closed River Road overnight in Piscataway. A collision involving a motorcycle and two SUVs on a rural road in Marlboro Saturday afternoon has left the motorcyclist dead and his passenger hospitalized.

The crash happened just before 5 p.m. on River Road near Hoes Lane. Police said the motorcycle was traveling westbound on River Road when it collided with two SUVs that were traveling eastbound. The motorcyclist was pronounced dead at the scene. His passenger was taken to a local hospital with serious injuries.

The drivers of the SUVs were not injured. Police are still investigating the crash.

River Road was closed between Hoes Lane and New Market Road for several hours while police investigated the crash. The road has since reopened.
