Conor Gallagher Scores First Atletico Madrid Goal To Continue Perfect Start In Spain As Fans Chant Former Chel

Conor Gallagher scores first Atletico Madrid goal to continue perfect start in Spain

Gallagher has found his footing in Spain

On loan from Chelsea, Gallagher has notched his first goal for his new club Atletico Madrid.

After helping Crystal Palace to a 12th-place finish in the Premier League last season, Gallagher has made a seamless transition to La Liga.

Chelsea fans show support

Atletico Madrid fans have taken to Gallagher quickly, singing about his time at their London rivals Chelsea during the 4-1 win over Celta Vigo.

To the tune of "Guantanamera," they sang "He's English, he scores goals, he came from Chelsea, his name is Gallagher."

Gallagher is showing his talent

After starting the season with two assists, Gallagher netted his first goal for his new club in spectacular fashion against Celta.

Cutting inside from the right wing, Gallagher curled a left-footed shot from 20 yards out into the bottom corner of the net, leaving no chance for the goalkeeper.

Atletico Madrid are off to a great start

With Gallagher's contributions, Atletico Madrid are enjoying a perfect start to the season with two wins from two games, also beating Getafe 3-0 last weekend.

They will look to maintain their 100 per cent record when they take on Villarreal next weekend.

Gallagher's future at Chelsea uncertain

Gallagher's impressive form for Atletico Madrid will no doubt lead to questions about his future at Chelsea.

The 22-year-old is contracted to the Blues until 2025, but he could push for a permanent move away from Stamford Bridge if he continues to shine in Spain.
