Toronto FC Loses 3-1 to Inter Miami CF

Toronto FC (9-13-9, 36 points) lost 3-1 to Inter Miami CF (11-11-9, 42 points) on Wednesday night at DRV PNK Stadium. The loss was TFC's third straight and dropped them to 12th place in the Eastern Conference standings.
Inter Miami took the lead in the 22nd minute when Robert Taylor scored off a feed from Gonzalo Higuaín. The visitors doubled their lead in the 35th minute when Higuaín scored on a penalty kick.
Toronto FC pulled a goal back in the 55th minute when Ayo Akinola scored off a feed from Alejandro Pozuelo. However, Inter Miami restored their two-goal lead in the 65th minute when Bryce Duke scored off a feed from Taylor.
The loss was a disappointing one for Toronto FC, who were looking to build on their recent run of good form. The Reds had won three of their previous four matches, including a 4-0 victory over the New England Revolution last Saturday.
Toronto FC will look to bounce back on Saturday when they host FC Cincinnati at BMO Field. The match is scheduled to kick off at 7:30PM ET.
